In collaboration with the City of Glendale, Citrus Crossing creates accessible housing for low-income seniors.

Located near The Americana at Brand shopping mall, Citrus Crossing sits on a city-owned property that was identified for affordable housing. The City of Glendale selected Meta Housing through a request for qualification process to provide affordable housing. Citrus Crossing is now a 127-unit apartment community for senior households earning between 30% and 70% of the area’s median income.
The building features onsite property management, a multipurpose room for resident services, a computer center, laundry facilities, rooftop decks with a community garden, and a large community room for residents to socialize and host events. The five stories of residential units and common area amenities are located above two levels of subterranean resident parking.
In keeping with the City’s vision for the site, Citrus Crossing’s building design has the unique capacity to connect residents to the larger Glendale community.
From the community room, residents can access the building’s central courtyard furnished with barbeques, seating and dining areas, and festoon lighting. The courtyard then flows seamlessly into the adjacent public paseo that has been redeveloped by Meta as part of the project to improve pedestrian circulation and be an open space for the surrounding neighborhood.
